Scintillators Information

Based on the experience gained on scintillating materials during the last 20 years of Crystal Clear, we have decided to set-up a web site, which provides access to concrete crystal information. Besides general and methodological information on scintillating crystals, the website will contain a large amount of data gained so far about investigated crystals, including light yield, emission spectra, radiation hardness and mechanical properties with a full description of sample and the methods used for their characterization allowing an objective comparison of different materials.

Our upper aim is to enable access -via our website- to a central crystal data repository in the fields of scintillation processes, crystal production, industrial and medical applications, detector construction in high energy or nuclear physics.
